Receipt for riding equipment for Indians from] the State of Georgia, 1783 Dec. 16 / by order of Col. John Martin

Receipt from the state of Georgia signed by Colonel John Martin for saddles, bridles, cruppers, and pads provided to the Tallassee King and other Creeks. The receipt is dated December 16, 1783, but contains another date, October 3, 1782, which may indicate when the equipment was supplied. The name of George Richardson also appears on the receipt.
